This is another one I have no urge to see, despite being an Alison Brie fan. Aside from The Substance, movies like this give me the willies. They don't scare me, more like they just disturb me and piss me off.
Just got home from seeing it and wanted to revisit your review (I deliberately didn't read the whole thing until now) to exchange notes, but I'm inclined to agree with you. For an actual couple, the delivery was very wooden. The hair scene was the only one that really freaked me out.

Saw this tonight.... Was super disappointed in watching it.
For a body horror movie there wasn't much body horror and the ending felt flat like they didn't know what to do at the end.
